Frequently Asked Questions

CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of over a hundred naturally occurring compounds abundant in hemp plants. CBD works similarly to cannabinoids our bodies produce in the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which play a role in communication between cells and maintains homeostasis (balance) of vital systems and organs.

It’s become a wildly popular ingredient that can be formulated into various product types, depending on the desired effects—some common products featuring CBD include food, supplements, and skincare products.

Our CBD is a natural compound extracted from the Hemp plant, unlike some synthetic alternatives.

CBD will not get you high the same way THC (the main psychoactive compound in marijuana does). CBD products work on the same endocannabinoid system but illicit different effects on the mind & body because CBD doesn’t directly activate the CB1 receptor.

CBD has relaxing properties that promote a sense of calm, but it is non-intoxicating.

When first consuming CBD, we would always recommend starting on a lower strength product. This is generally an oil or capsule. We would always recommend a product that the customer is comfortable with whether that be oral, vape or topical.

CBD supports the endocannabinoid system function by influencing the activity of CB1 and CB2 receptors to regulate various physiological processes, including pain perception, relaxation, sleep, mood, healthy immune response, and much more.
Some studies show CBD to have unique interactions at other receptor sites that influence our sensitivity to pain and resilience to stress. While research on CBD is relatively new, there’s a lot of promise for its uses.

CBD oil is legal to purchase, possess and use in the UK.

We always recommend starting on around 5-10mg per day, gradually working your way up to optimise dosage to your personal judgement. An average daily dosage is usually between 30-50mg. Current guidelines state that the recommended maximum daily dosage is 70mg.

CBD can affect blood sugar levels of the body. Therefore, if taken on an empty stomach, the consumer can suffer from symptoms of low blood sugar which include light headedness and nausea. To prevent this, simply consume with a meal as directed.

Furthermore, if you are already taking any form of medication – please consult your doctor or healthcare professional beforehand.

We advise that you always consult your doctor or healthcare professional before taking any CBD product if you are already taking medication.

It is documented that the most rapid effect is obtained with administration by inhalation(5-10 minutes), while in oral administration, an increase in plasmatic concentration of CBD occurs after 1 hour (probable outset of the effects of CBD), reaching its peak after about 3 hours; subsequently the elimination process through faeces and urine begins. In a research study it has been reported how the CBD peak in urine after oral administration of > 150mg was registered after 6 hours. Hence it can be deduced that the effects of CBD last at least 6 hours.

Human’s have endocannabinoid receptors throughout the body, and each person’s endocannabinoid system is unique.
CBD can help maintain this system and boost the individual at the same time.
Everyone is different and you should start small and build to see how the effects can change with your own body chemistry/ composition.
Dosing CBD is a personal experience.
It’s also worth noting that it can take some time to see the impact of CBD, depending on how much you take and how you consume it. For example, smoking CBD hemp flower will be felt much quicker and may feel more potent than using CBD oil.
Ultimately, finding the proper dosage of CBD to feel relaxed is a personal process that may involve some trial and error.
